Andrew is a photographer currently based in Ireland. Mainly shooting in large format, he finds that the 5" x 4" film best allows him to capture the sweeping landscapes that he loves, which was particularly important when completing a recent project looking at areas of faith, belief and superstition in Donegal. The large format camera puts you in touch with the photographers of the past. With your head under the cloth and examining the upside-down image through a magnifying glass, it forces you to slow down, to take the time to appreciate what you are photographing, and to make sure that image you take is the one you want. Having recently been awarded a Masters in Fine Arts in Photography, Andrew is now a PhD research student, examining images taken around the turn of last century. In the past, Andrew has won travel photography competitions in the Daily Telegraph and Guardian newspapers and has had an image selected for the National Geographic website's Daily Dozen. His travel blog has also been described as recommended reading by the Lonely Planet in the Observer newspaper. Please take some time to have a look through the pictures from his various travels. Selected images are for sale as limited edition prints. Please let Andrew know your requirements if you would like to make a purchase. Thank you for visiting and feel free to get in touch to let him know what you think. |
