Andrew moved to Ireland after travelling from England to Australia without taking any flights. This trip took him into the Arctic Circle, through Siberia and onto the plains of Mongolia and the Gobi desert. Continuing south, he travelled into Tibet and China and into south-east Asia. He finally arrived in Australia by container ship.

He has recently completed a Masters in Fine Arts degree in Photography at the University of Ulster, where he looked at how people express their faith in the wilds of the Donegal countryside.
